The Bachelor’s program in Sustainable Transformation Management (STM) responds to the growing importance of sustainability, transformation, and responsible innovation in economic, social, and technological contexts. It prepares students from diverse countries and disciplines to become skilled professionals capable of analyzing and shaping transformation processes in business, government, and civil society.
The program combines solid theoretical foundations in economics, social sciences, and technology management with practical approaches to tackle global Grand Challenges. Students gain competencies in methodically and strategically managing transformationprocesses, applying insights from regional, social, and technological contexts to develop transdisciplinary solutions.
Through internship, transformation project, and hands-on experiences, graduates acquire the tools to design and implement sustainable strategies in a variety of sectors. International students gain perspectives relevant to countries undergoing rapid change, while German students develop skills to address local, regional, and global transformation challenges.
STM equips graduates to pursue careers in companies, non-governmental and governmental organizations, and international institutions, fostering the expertise needed for a dynamic and interconnected world.
Students enrolled in the program have the option to pursue a Double Degree pathway, which enables them to obtain two bachelor's certificates upon completion of their studies. The specific requirements differ based on the institution at which students commence their studies:
Students who begin the program at a partner university are required to complete the Double Degree track, which entails spending a minimum of two semesters at the Remagen campus. Conversely, students who commence their studies in Remagen may choose whether to pursue the Double Degree option. Should they opt for this pathway, they commit to spending two semesters at a partner institution abroad and benefit from a reserved placement at a partner university of their choice.
Alternatively, students starting in Remagen may elect to complete a single-semester study abroad experience at any university of their choosing, without pursuing the full Double Degree qualification. This flexible structure accommodates varying levels of international engagement while maintaining academic rigor across all pathways.
