Online application
Applicants with a German educational qualification can apply online through the university’s application portal. If you have a foreign educational qualification, you are required to apply through uni assist. 

Hochschulstart
If you have a German education certificate, you must also register with hochschulstart for the following degree programs:

- Architecture (winter semester only)
- Social Work (SA-P)
- Marketing and International Business

After registering, you will receive an applicant ID (BID) and an authentication number (BAN). You must enter these when applying through the university’s applicant portal if you wish to apply for one of the programs listed above.
If you would like to apply for more than one program through hochschulstart, you must indicate your preference. You can find all the details here. 

Required documents

Continuing Education & Distance Learning Programs
The following types of continuing education programs and distance learning courses are available:

- DAS certificates
- IFW certificate
- Bachelor’s distance learning programs

MBA Distance Learning Programs
Applications are generally submitted through the zfh Distance Learning Association.

DAS Certificates
Applications are generally submitted through the zfh Distance Learning Association.

IFW Certificates
Applications are submitted directly to Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. Details can be found on the IFW Institute’s website.

Bachelor’s Distance Learning Programs
These programs are offered in cooperation with other institutions; applications are submitted through the zfh Distance Learning Association. All details can be found on the respective program pages.
The following bachelor's degree distance learning Programs are available:
- Education and Pedagogy (dual)
- Education and Pedagogy + (dual)
- Child and Youth Welfare (dual)
- Education and Social Management with a Focus on Early Childhood
- Early Childhood Education
- Social Work (BASA-online)

Master’s Distance Learning Programs
Applications are generally submitted through the zfh Distance Learning Association. Details can be found on the respective program pages.
The following master's degree distance learning programs are available:

- Childhood and Social Sciences (MAKS)
- Social Work (MAPS)
