Erasmus+ Funding for Study Abroad
The Erasmus+ programme supports student, staff, and faculty mobility between higher education institutions that have concluded an inter-institutional agreement and hold a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
The University of Applied Sciences Koblenz has outlined its commitment to internationalisation in its Erasmus Policy Statement and further developed these objectives within its Internationalisation Strategy (2024).
Students can receive Erasmus+ funding for study periods of 2 to 12 months at one of our partner universities. Each student is entitled to up to 360 funded days per study cycle (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD).

Travel distances are calculated using the European Commission's official Distance Calculator.
Insurance
Please note that Erasmus+ mobility grants do not include insurance coverage. Neither the European Commission nor the German National Agency (NA DAAD) can be held liable for any illness, accident, injury, death, loss, or damage occurring during an Erasmus+ mobility period.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have adequate insurance coverage for their stay abroad. We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive health and liability insurance before departure.
The DAAD insurance package is a popular option for Erasmus+ participants.
Information Sessions and Advising
Students nominated for an Erasmus+ study period will receive detailed information during the mandatory pre-departure meeting prior to their mobility.
During each application period, the Erasmus Office offers dedicated online consultation hours. Information about these sessions is provided through the respective OLAT course.
Individual advising appointments can be arranged at any time. Consultations are available both online via Zoom and in person. Group advising sessions can also be organised for students who wish to attend together.
